Thinking about LASIK? You’ve come to the right place. You'll be happy to know our surgeons perform more LASIK in a single year than some doctors do in an entire lifetime. There's no substitute for experience when it comes to eye surgery.

What is LASIK?

close-up of an eyeLASIK is an acronym for “Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis”. It is a vision correction for nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism. LASIK at ClearView Eye Clinic involves using a computer-controlled laser to reshape the cornea so that light rays will more clearly focus on the retina without the need for glasses or contacts. LASIK is one of the most commonly performed eye surgeries in the United States–over 12 million people and counting!

LASIK involves two steps. The first step is making a thin flap on the cornea – a process that takes less than a minute. This can be done with a blade or with a laser. We are 100% blade-free, all-laser for our flaps. After the flap is created, the second step is the correcting the shape of your cornea with the excimer laser to help you to see more clearly. Our LASIK surgeons perform the entire procedure in less than 15 minutes for both eyes. A more detailed description of what happens on your LASIK day can be found here.

U.S. News & World Report lists our doctors as “Top 50 LASIK Surgeons” in North America.  Now that’s peace of mind you can count on.

We realize the idea of getting LASIK can be a little overwhelming. That’s why we offer FREE LASIK Screenings. This allows you to meet to meet with our LASIK surgeon in a relaxed setting and explore if LASIK is a good option for you.
