Are there any risks with LASIK?

Like any medical procedure, there are risks with LASIK surgery. Most of the risks and complications with LASIK, however, are minor and are treatable post-LASIK in a variety of ways. By choosing an experienced surgeon and staff using the latest LASIK testing technology, you can also ensure the lowest possible risks for your LASIK procedure. Your free LASIK consultation and screening at ClearView will ensure you and your surgeon have all the necessary information to reduce risks and protect your vision.

Some patients may experience discomfort or eye irritation within the first 24-48 hours after their LASIK procedure. Other side effects are less common: glare or halos, difficulty driving at night, fluctuating vision or dry eyes.

For more information on the most serious and rare complications, please visit the FDA’s website. We take our commitment to educate each patient seriously, and we hope you will bring any questions or concerns to your free LASIK consultation so you can discuss them with your surgeon.
